An additional feature of the service is a web interface that allows employees to check their email using any internet connection. Email can be checked while at home or out of the office. Corporate clients who have their own mail server can use NetShield to scan their mail and filter viruses and Spam by having their email pass through NetAccess on its way to the corporate mail server. This process is totally transparent and adds only milliseconds to the delivery time. NetShield also works seamlessly with standard corporate anti-virus software that clients should use internally, and eliminates the administrative overhead of dealing with Spam. An additional benefit is the ability to isolate the corporate email server from the Internet. It can be configured to only accept connections form the NetAccess NetShield mail server, effectively removing the corporate mail server from direct exposure to the Internet.
