NetAccess In Its 12th year!
In June 2004, NetAccess entered its 12th year of
business operation. This makes NetAccess one of Canada's oldest remaining
independent ISPs. We are proud of this distinction and the tradition
of innovation and service behind the name NetAccess. We are also pleased
that we can invest our experience in the development of new services
for our clients.

Introducing A New Service: NetBackup
Our new NetBackup service is a simple, reliable and
secure method of backing up important documents and files to a remote
location over your Internet connection. There is no software to purchase.
You simply download a client program and install it on your Windows
computer. Once the console is installed, you may backup any files on
that computer (or any networked computer) and also create scheduled
backups to run during off-hours. NetBackup can be configured to automatically
load and run in the background whenever you start your computer. For
more information, contact sales@nas.net
or call Wendy at 905-524-2001 x 27.

NetShield A Huge Success
Our NetShield services have proven to be one
of the most popular and effective new services introduced over the past
year. Whether you have a single email account at NetAccess, or large
corporate mail server, NetShield provides a simple and effective
solution to deal with the twin problems of Spam and viruses transmitted
by email.
In May, for example, 178,061 messages
containing viruses were blocked and more than 500,000 spam messages
were intercepted. NetAccess clients have been very enthusiastic about
the effectiveness of both virus and spam controls. If you haven't yet
taken advantage of the NetShield service, simply contact sales@nas.net
or call Wendy at 905-524-2001 x 27.

New Backup Power
With the addition of a backup generator to its current
UPS systems, NetAccess now has the ability to withstand power outages
of unlimited duration. The generator is configured to automatically
start after any power failure. The system is completely automatic and
ensures that all our Internet services will be available to NetAccess
clients in the event of a power disruption.

ADSL Service Upgrades
NetAccess was one of the first ISPs to undergo a
complete reconfiguration of their Bell ADSL network. Formerly all ADSL
connections were using a single path to NetAccess which was causing
an overload of the Bell network. Now there are separate paths for each
of our serving areas. In addition, all Corporate NetConnect clients
have been moved to their own separate paths. These changes have brought
about a huge improvement in reliability of ADSL connections.
