Two local technology firms, ISPnet and NetAccess Systems Inc., combine
efforts to bring wireless access to Hamilton and surrounding areas.
November 3, 2003
Hamilton, Ontario, Canada:
NetAccess Systems and ISPnet have combined efforts to bring wireless
access to area businesses. Using ISPnet's Speedway wireless service,
NetAccess and ISPnet are bringing Internet access to areas where
high-speed, affordable Internet has not been available before.
Wireless offers the same speeds as high-speed ADSL and Fibre, as well as a
secure connection. It marks the next phase in high-speed Internet access.
Gary Bannister, President & CEO, NetAccess Systems says "this partnership
allows us to bring high-speed, reliable, and affordable Internet access to
those clients who previously had few suitable options for their Internet
connectivity".
Rocco Leo, President & CEO, ISPnet, reports "we knew there had to be a way
to bring affordable high-speed Internet access to clients without
requiring costly fibre or satellite connections. We have been very
pleased with the excellent performance and stability of our wireless
network. We will be greatly expanding our coverage area in the next few
months".
Both NetAccess and ISPnet are locally owned and operated companies.
NetAccess was the first Internet service provider in the Hamilton area and
provides services to over 600 local businesses. ISPnet's Speedway
wireless service has been operational since June 2003 and is already being
utilized by a large number of local businesses.
