Enhanced New Mail Services Now Available

Hamilton, Ontario, Canada:
NetAccess is pleased to announce the introduction of a new mail server and
enhanced email services. NetAccess has made a significant investment in a
specialized new mail server that utilizes industry leading mail software
to provide significant new tools to help you manage your email. The major
benefits of the new mail server are: virus scanning, enhanced Spam
filtering, and a web-based interface for creating and reading email.
Although clients are welcome to remain with the current mail server, the
new server offers significant additional advantages as part of a very
low-cost upgrade option.
With the new enhanced mail services you have access to the following
features:

a Web interface to enable access to email from any Internet connection
anywhere

an industry leading corporate email server dedicated exclusively to the
new email services

virus scanning of both received AND sent email using McAfee virus
signatures. Both sender and recipient are notified when an email
containing a virus is received.

IMAP, POP3 and/or Web interface for sending and receiving email

advanced Spam filtering with the following features:
- prohibits mail relaying
- verifies return path on email
- rejects email if no sender specified
- rejects email if no recipient specified
- rejects email if mail from unrecognized IP address
- rejects email if DNS verification of sending IP address does not pass
- uses multiple standard lists to block spam (e.g., relays.visi.com, sbl.spamhaus.org, relays.ordb.org, proxies.relays.monkeys.com).
- blocks email using specific banned Header and Body lines.
- blocks specific IP addresses
- blocks specific email addresses
- enables mail from specific IP addresses to bypass filters
The new mail server also enables NetAccess to provide virus and spam
filtering to clients who utilize their own mail servers.
