NetAccess Management and Staff
Gary Bannister, M.Sc., President and CEO of NetAccess Systems Inc.
Mr. Bannister received his Master of Science in Computer
Science, and his Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Engineering from
Queen's University. Prior to becoming a member of the NetAccess
management team, he was Manager of Computer Systems and Services
at the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS),
Canada's national resource centre for occupational health and safety
information. Mr. Bannister combines a wide experience in management,
information systems, and support across a wide range of computer
platforms. Since coming to NetAccess in 1995, Mr. Bannister has
played a number of important management roles, and in May 2001 he
was named President and CEO of NetAccess.
Don McNally, Ph.D.,
VP. Corporate Development
Dr. McNally is a native of Hamilton and graduate
of McMaster University. He received his Ph.D. at the University
of Toronto in the history and philosophy of science and technology.
As one of the founding Directors of NetAccess, Dr. McNally brought
together the current NetAccess Board of Directors, and is currently
developing NetAccess' strategic partnerships. Dr. McNally is also
Chair of the Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors Committee and
on the Board of Directors for Theatre Aquarius.
In May 2001, he was named
Vice-President, Corporate Development.
Lorraine Merola, Hon. B. Comm,
CMA, Financial Manager
Ms. Merola is one of the original members of the
NetAccess management team. Graduating from McMaster University with
an Honours Bachelor of Commerce, Lorraine has also obtained her
CMA. Lorraine is the NetAccess Financial Manager, and is also a
NetAccess shareholder.
As a member of the NetAccess management team, Lorraine is responsible
for accounting, quarterly reporting, and preparing financial recommendations
for management and board, and long-term budgeting and planning.
Jason Hersey,
Technical Sales and Support Specialist
Mr. Hersey joined NetAccess full-time in April 2005 as
Technical Sales and Service Specialist.
Jason came to NetAccess with extensive Internet, IT, and business experience.
Prior to joining NetAccess, Jason ran his own consulting business,
and was in high demand among area businesses.
Previous experience includes work as Senior Technology Director and
Service Manager for CompuSmart Hamilton.
Jason is responsible for design and implementation of networking services
and supplies custom solutions and onsite support to clients.
Irina Kalachnikova,
B.Sc.,
Systems Programmer
Ms. Kalachnikova graduated with a B.Sc. in Math from
K.G. University, Kemerovo, Russia. Irina has been with NetAccess
since May 2000. She provides software support for internal systems
and develops and maintains software programs for delivering Internet-related
services. She also conducts research and development of new products
and services in response to customer needs.
Tyler Bannister, B.Sc.,
Software Engineer
Mr. Bannister is a graduate of Waterloo University with
a degree in Math and Computer Science.
Prior to joining NetAccess in July 2005, Tyler worked for a number of
companies in Toronto and Hamilton doing software development primarily
in the area of Internet-based services.
Tyler heads up development of web based services and the hosting
environment for web developers.
Jane Hynes,
Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant
Ms. Hynes is a graduate of Mohawk College with a
Business Accounting Diploma. Jane has been with us since July 2005
and is responsible for customer account management and receivables
as well as payables and cash management.
Jane also manages NetAccess client accounts and is the first point
of contact for most customer calls and service inquiries.
Peter Wright,
Technical Sales and Support Associate
Mr. Wright joined NetAccess in June 2006.
Prior to becoming part of the NetAccess team he worked as a Technician at
CompuSmart Hamilton and as Store Manager in Burlington.
Peter supplies custom solutions and onsite support as well as technical
assistance with network design and implementation.
Chris Jordison, Technical Support Specialist
Mr. Jordison joins the NetAccess Support team with five years of experience on the UPS - Technology Support Group, Chris will be one of NetAccess' primary onsite customer service representative and has a wide range of experience in trouble shooting and support for Internet and network problems. Chris is dedicated to excellence in customer service, and works very well with the NetAccess technical support team. NetAccess clients will benefit from Chris' ability to get onsite and address service issues in a prompt and professional manner.
Michelle Curow, Customer Support/Receptionist
Ms Curow comes to NetAccess with wide experience in customer service. She worked for a number of years as the technical service representative and administrative receptionist for a large Hamilton area insurance company where she was nominated Employee of the Year. Michelle will be providing front line customer service for NetAccess and will often be the first line of contact for customer service and support requirements. Michelle brings excellent customer communication skills to her position, and is a very enthusiastic team member at NetAccess. Michelle also brings writing and design skills to her job, and will have the primary responsibility for producing the quarterly NetAccess Newsletter.
