The NetAccess Board of Directors contains a very broad range of business
and technical experience, and provides the company with strategic guidance
and planning that enabled NetAccess to thrive in a very competitive
environment. The NetAccess Board of Directors have been together since
1994 and meet on a quarterly basis.
Ronald Service (Chairman of NetAccess Board of Directors)
MIS Director, COM DEV (Home Address: Waterdown)
Mr. Service brings over twenty-five years of computer systems experience
to the NetAccess Board of Directors. He is currently MIS Director of COM
DEV International, the Cambridge based satellite and communications
infrastructure company. Mr. Service has wide experience in computer
systems development, design and administration. He has served as a
computer consultant in Canada and in the Middle East for a variety of
organizations in the public and private sectors. Mr. Service is a
founding member of NetAccess Systems Inc.
Gary Bannister, M.Sc., President and CEO of NetAccess Systems Inc. (Home
Address: Ancaster)
Mr. Bannister received his Master of Science in Computer Science, and his
Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Engineering from Queen's University.
Prior to becoming a member of the NetAccess management team, he was
Manager of Computer Systems and Services at the Canadian Centre for
Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS), Canada's national resource centre
for occupational health and safety information. Mr. Bannister combines a
wide experience in management, information systems, and support across a
wide range of computer platforms. He has been with NetAccess since 1995
and is one of the owners. In May 2001, Mr. Bannister was named President
and CEO of NetAccess.
Don McNally, Ph.D. (Secretary of the NetAccess Board of Directors)

Dr. McNally is a native of Hamilton and graduate of McMaster University.
He received his Ph.D. at the University of Toronto in the history and
philosophy of science and technology. Dr. McNally is one of the
founding members of NetAccess and is currently developing NetAccess'
strategic partnerships in the delivery of NetAccess high-speed business
solutions. Dr. McNally is a member of the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce
Business Development Committee, and Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors. In
May 2001, Dr. McNally was named Vice-President, Corporate Development.
Douglas Barber, Ph.D., P. Eng. Former President and CEO, Gennum Corporation
(Home Address: Dundas)
Dr. Barber obtained his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Electrical Engineering
at the University of Saskatchewan, and his Ph.D. from Imperial College,
University of London. In 1973 he was one of the founders of Linear
Technology Inc. the only company in Canada to design, manufacture and sell
bipolar monolithic integrated circuits. In December 1987, the company was
renamed Gennum Corporation. Dr. Barber is a member of the Professional
Engineers of Ontario and Chairman of MicroNet and a Director of the
Strategic Microelectronics Consortium (SMC) and the Canadian Semiconductor
Design Association (CSDA). Dr. Barber provides NetAccess with a wealth of
experience in management and client services and is the Chair of the
NetAccess Strategic Planning Committee. Dr. Barber is also a
founding member of NetAccess Systems Inc.
William Vander Marel, Director of Marketing, AudioStream Burlington
(Home Address: Dundas)
Mr. Vander Marel has directed an innovative and highly successful
marketing strategy for AudioStream, the North American distributor of
Paradigm speakers. Paradigm has become one of the premier speaker product
lines in the market primarily because of Paradigm's emphasis on
product performance. Mr. Vander Marel is a valuable resource for the
NetAccess management team in development of marketing and strategic
business planning. Mr. Vander Marel is also a
founding member of NetAccess Systems Inc.
